Broomerang Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Broomerang helps households schedule and share chores. This policy describes what the app collects and how it's used. The short version: your data exists to make the app work, it's shared only with the members of your own household, and it's never sold or used for advertising.

What we collect

The website waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store the email address you submit — nothing else — and use it solely to contact you about Broomerang's availability. Email support@broomerang.app anytime to be removed from the list.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States, protected by security rules that restrict every household's data to that household's signed-in members.

What we don't do

Notifications

Push notifications (task completions, trades, morning digests) are optional and controlled in the app's settings. Turning them off removes your device's notification token from our servers.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and personal data anytime in the app: Settings → Delete Account. If you're the only member of your household, the household and all of its data are deleted with it. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children

Broomerang is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. Household accounts and the rewards store are managed by the adults who set up the home.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above changes with it.
